Key Responsibilities:
– Order Delivery: Pick up food orders from the restaurant and deliver them to customers’ locations within the designated delivery area.
– Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to customers during deliveries. Address any questions or concerns promptly.
– Order Accuracy: Verify that the orders are complete and accurate before leaving the restaurant.
– Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
– Payment Handling: Accept payments from customers, including cash and electronic payments, and provide change if necessary.
– Time Management: Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders.
– Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle. Report any vehicle issues to the supervisor.
– Documentation: Keep accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and payment details.
– Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the restaurant staff and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications:
– Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
– Experience: Previous experience in a delivery role is preferred but not required.
– Skills:
– Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
– Strong time management and organizational skills.
– Good communication and customer service skills.
– Ability to work independently and handle multiple deliveries efficiently.
– Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift and carry food orders and delivery bags.
– Ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
– Ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
Work Environment:
– On the road for the majority of the shift, with exposure to various weather conditions.
– Interaction with restaurant staff and customers in different settings.
