Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
– Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce precision parts.
– Load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
– Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy.
– Adjust machine settings to optimize production and ensure product quality.
Quality Control:
– Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
– Ensure all parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
– Identify and correct any defects or errors in the machining process.
Programming and Setup:
– Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
– Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.
– Set up and calibrate machines, fixtures, and tooling according to production requirements.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
– Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
– Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions and production issues.
– Report any mechanical or technical problems to the maintenance team or supervisor.
Documentation and Reporting:
– Maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
– Communicate production status and issues to team members and supervisors.
– Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Safety and Compliance:
– Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
– Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
– Participate in safety training and initiatives.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred.
– Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role.
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
– Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
– Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment.
– Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good communication and organizational skills.
– Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Working Conditions:
