Key Responsibilities:
– Receiving and Processing: Unload and unpack incoming shipments, verify accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, and stock items in appropriate locations.
– Order Picking: Accurately pick items from stock to fulfill customer orders, ensuring correct item counts and quality.
– Packing and Shipping: Pack and prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
– Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to maintain accurate inventory levels.
– Material Handling: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and store materials safely and efficiently.
– Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
– Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
– Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
– Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
– Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
– Skills:
– Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
– Basic math skills and attention to detail.
– Good organizational and time management skills.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
– Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
– Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
– Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the warehouse environment.
Work Environment:
– Fast-paced warehouse environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
– Periodic exposure to varying temperatures, depending on the season and location.
